The Chef

DANNY PRODOEHL
MASTER SMOKER & BREWER
Born and raised in Ventura, California, I took up a love for cooking at an early age. My Hawaiian roots took me to Kauai for months at a time as a child, where I got to play sous chef to my mom and grandma. I learned early on the pride of cooking food straight from a modest garden to the bellies of friends and family. In Kauai, everyone is considered family, and it was common for a neighbor to drop off a fresh piece of fish to be cooked and to have everyone within a few block radius come over to enjoy it.
To know me is to know I don’t cut any corners. I’ve become a student of barbecue and beer making, taking each opportunity to cook and brew as a learning experience to keep getting better.
